The Joe Lovano Paramount Quartet is one of the latest and most exciting ensembles led by renowned saxophonist Joe Lovano. 

Formed in early 2024 and making its debut at the Village Vanguard, the group is distinguished by its blend of
generations and experiences, all dedicated to an inventive and vigorous style of jazz.Créé début 2024 et ayant fait ses débuts au Village Vanguard, ce groupe se distingue par son mélange de générations et d’expériences au service d’un jazz inventif et vigoureux. 

The lineup brings together Lovano on saxophone with the expressive guitarist Julian Lage, double bassist Santi
Debriano (a collaborator of Lovano’s since the 1980s), and the powerful drummer Will Calhoun.La formation réunit Lovano au saxophone avec l’expressif guitariste Julian Lage, le contrebassiste Asante Santi Debriano (un collaborateur des années 80 de Lovano) et le batteur puissant Will Calhoun. 

The quartet’s concept is rooted in a collective, polyrhythmic approach where each musician contributes to a spontaneous and daring musical conversation.

Their repertoire explores themes by Lovano, Coltrane, and Monk, offering a masterful demonstration of immediate alchemy and deep dialogue.
